Protection of the rainforest
Život Postaru is committed to preserving the Ecuadorian Amazon region around Rio Blanco. The area is increasingly threatened by gold mining, deforestation, and environmental destruction. Together with the local people, the organization is working to protect valuable forest areas in the long term and preserve the livelihoods of future generations.
Forest School & Kindergarten Rio Blanco
With the support of the forest school and the kindergarten in Rio Blanco, Život Postaru is creating a place where children can combine education, a connection to nature, and cultural values. At the same time, traditional knowledge of the community is preserved and passed on to the next generation.
Protection from the Consequences of Gold Mining
Increasing gold mining not only threatens the forest but also rivers, soils, and the health of the local population. Mercury and other pollutants, in particular, pose a danger to the community of Rio Blanco. Život Postaru is committed to raising awareness of these problems and promoting sustainable alternatives.
Preservation of Indigenous Culture & Traditional Knowledge
A key focus of the organisation is to support indigenous communities in preserving their culture, language and traditional knowledge. Through educational projects, encounters between different indigenous peoples and the passing on of ancient traditions, Život Postaru helps to keep this valuable heritage alive.
